Blackpink’s Jisoo unveils her newest solo project
Jisoo of Blackpink is the latest member to announce her solo endeavors, establishing her own personal label called Blissoo.
Launching Blissoo: On Wednesday, Jisoo took to Instagram to share the launch of her solo label along with its official website.
“Hello, this is Jisoo,” the South Korean singer and actress wrote in her post. “I’m excited to share my new start with BLISSOO. Stay tuned for what’s to come, as I’m dedicated to bringing joy and happiness to each and every one of you. Please continue to shower your love and support for Jisoo with BLISSOO, and also for BLACKPINK. Thank you.”
About Blissoo: The term “Blissoo” was formed by merging the word “bliss,” representing ultimate happiness, with Jisoo, which “has the charm of a gift,” according to the company website. Jisoo noted that Blissoo’s mission statement is to transcend the boundaries of genres and to share the happiness she creates in her own unique way.
It was previously revealed that Jisoo joined her older brother’s agency, a subsidiary operating under Biomom, Inc., with her brother Kim Jeung-hoon serving as the CEO. However, it is currently unclear whether Blissoo is affiliated with Biomom.
Updates on all members: Jisoo is the third Blackpink member to establish her own company following Jennie‘s Odd Atelier last year and Lisa‘s Lloud earlier this month.
In December 2023, all Blackpink members renewed their contracts for group activities with YG Entertainment. However, they did not renew their contracts for individual activities. Fans are now awaiting Rosé’s upcoming solo debut.
