Balenciaga Just Released Hello Kitty Bags For Men
By Carl Samson
Balenciaga unveiled leather handbags sporting the iconic feline Hello Kitty at the recent Paris Fashion Week.
Available in pink, white, and black, the bags feature the character’s ears, whiskers and signature red bow. The models presented the bags with a black satin-like material with the brand’s name in white cursive peeking from the top.
Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2020 show, which took place on Sept. 29, is the fashion house’s first since designer Demna Gvasalia left streetwear brand Vetements and took over as creative director.
Inspired by the European Parliament, the blue spiran runway was accompanied by foreboding music and cold gusts from the air-con unit, Dazed noted.
This is not the first time Hello Kitty has made it to the designer runway.
Last year, creator Sanrio teamed up with Italian brand Furla for a collection of cosmetic cases, printed handbags, and wallets, according to Nylon.
As of this writing, the Hello Kitty x Balenciaga handbags have not yet released in stores.
