Indonesian internet users have just given birth to a new viral craze that everyone can enjoy together — the Baby Shark Challenge.
The Baby Shark Challenge, alongside its mandatory hashtag #babysharkchallenge, has become a huge hit among Indonesian netizens. Videos of the challenge are pouring in on YouTube and Instagram, making it a viral dance craze throughout the country.
Just about everyone, including authority figures, are jumping in on the viral online challenge, according to Detik News. Indonesian National Police’ Head of the International Missions Bureau at the Division of International Relations, Krishna Murti, posted a video of him dancing to the Baby Shark challenge in his office.
Other female members of the Mojokerto City Police have also caught the fever of the social media dance.
Even American actress and model, Amanda Cerny, took up the challenge during her guest appearance on Indonesia’s Tonight Show.
It only goes to show that everyone is not safe from the too damn cute music of the Baby Shark Challenge.
For people who are wondering, the dance moves are based on the same ones featured in the original video, Baby Shark Dance. It was first released online on June 17, 2016 as part of Pinkfong’s “Sing and Dance!” songs for children. The video has been viewed more than 194 million times since it was first posted.
