Japanese crane gamers will soon be able to grab prizes in real claw machines through Android apps
By Rebecca Moon
Beginning July 11, Android users in Japan will be able to play claw machines remotely in real time through Google apps that will only be available for one year.
Google announced in a support article that the limited-time apps would be available during a pilot phase that will run from July 11 of this year to July 11, 2023.
Google will be regularly following up with user feedback while ensuring that all participating games are not breaking any rules.
The online crane games use live video feeds of claw machines, and users can control the machines through the apps as they attempt to win prizes in real time. Winners will be able to have their prizes directly delivered to their homes.
The support article also goes into detail on the sign-up process for developers, informing them on how to participate in the pilot and describing prize restrictions. For example, vaping products, firearms and cryptocurrencies are not permissible prizes in the online crane games.
There are several online crane games and slot games like เว็บสล็อต pg currently available in the U.S. on the Google Play Store for Android users, such as GiGO Online Crane.
