Dark Web Entrepreneur Who Loved Thai Women Found Dead in Jail

French-Canadian Alexandre Cazes, the founder of AlphaBay, has been found dead by apparent suicide in his jail cell in Thailand. The darkweb marketplace creator was just 25 years old when he took his own life after awaiting extradition to the U.S. on charges of racketeering, conspiracy, and money laundering.

Cazes has been touted as a former whiz kid, taking up hacking when he was just 14 years old. At first, he dabbled in cryptocurrencies, but eventually moved onto the online black market, creating the largest website dedicated to selling illegal drugs, guns, stolen credit cards, and the like. Eventually, he amassed an obscene quantity of wealth, estimating his own net value to be over 25 million dollars.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Cazes was very active online and would write to other netizens often. His most popular post on the forum “Roosh V” is under the username “Rawmeo”, wherein he discussed his love life. Before moving to Thailand, he wrote, he was unhappy with Western women. He had previously dated a Vietnamese woman from the United States, but she didn’t work out for him because she believed she was more than just someone to cook and clean for him. “Such a beautiful girl, who got poisoned by feminism,” he said.

Some time later, the self-made millionaire spent his ill-gotten gains on expensive cars and houses, choosing his main residence in Thailand. “I left a broken society to live in a traditional one,” he said of his move from Canada. It was there that he met his first wife, marrying her in 2010. They would soon divorce, but not before having a child together.

Cazes eventually met and married another Thai woman, but his online posts showed that he didn’t believe in a monogamous relationship, among other things. “I am what we call a professional cheater. Despite having a live-in wife, I have a secondary residence that no one knows about – and that’s where I bring girls.” He also made posts bragging about his “solid prenup”, wrote a guide on picking up Thai women, and even mentioned that he had placed an “upper weight limit” on his wife in an attempt to control her body and freewill.

He also showed a distaste for Muslims, claiming they were “breeding like bedbugs.”

It is unclear if Cazes had been appointed a lawyer before his death. His Thai wife, Sunisa Cazes, is currently in custody and is facing a money laundering charge.
