Ailee releases brand-new OST for Disney’s animated TV series ‘The Ghost and Molly McGee’
K-pop star Ailee has released her first-ever OST for Disney’s animated television series, “The Ghost and Molly McGee.”
This marks the Korean American artist’s first foray into recording for an animated series. She has previously contributed OSTs for popular K-dramas such as “Goblin,” “Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow” and “Pandora: Beneath the Paradise.”
Her newest song, “I Keep Ending Up With You,” is featured in the episode “I Wanna Dance With Some-Ollie,” which premiered in April. In the episode, titular character Molly attends a school dance with her friend Ollie.
Although a snippet of the song can be heard in the episode, NextShark has an exclusive music video for the full song, featuring clips from the series and behind-the-scenes footage of Ailee in the recording studio. Check out the video below:
When one of Scratch’s curses takes an unexpected turn, he finds himself inexplicably tethered to Molly, forging an unconventional friendship that sets the stage for countless comical escapades.
The series’ cast members include Ashly Burch as Molly; Dana Snyder as Scratch; Alan Lee as Ollie; Michaela Dietz as Molly’s brother, Darryl; Jordan Klepper as Molly’s father, Pete McGee; and Sumalee Montano as both Grandma Nin and Sharon McGee, Molly’s mother.
The show, whose first season premiered on Oct. 1, 2021, was created by the Emmy Award-winning duo Bill Motz and Bob Roth.
Prior to recording “I Keep Ending Up With You,” Ailee released her first full-length English album, “I’m Lovin’ Amy,” in March last year.
The 12-track project is composed primarily of English-language re-recordings of previously released songs and also features the single “Murder on the Dance Floor.”
Ailee is slated to perform at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California, on June 24.
