An official lineup announcement has yet to be announced, but an 88rising tweet from March hinted at possible appearances from Indonesian singer-songwriter Niki and Indonesian rapper Rich Brian. The tweet is captioned “To Jakarta with love. We will be seeing you #HITCJAKARTA2022” and features images of the two artists.
The Asian-focused music company previously made plans to host a festival in Jakarta, but these plans were canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19.
Tickets for Head in the Clouds Jakarta will go on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m. Jakarta time.
88rising’s Head in the Clouds festival at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, will take place later this month on Aug. 20 and Aug. 21. The festival’s lineup includes artists such as Niki, Rich Brian, Chungha, Jay Park, Mili and Bibi.
Fans of 88rising have plenty of fresh content to listen to in preparation for the event. Rapper Warren Hue released his debut album “Boy Of The Year” last week, while singer Jackson Wang recently dropped his new single “Cruel” from his upcoming Sept. 9 album “Magic Man.” Later this month, Niki will release her album “Nicole” before embarking on her first solo North American tour which will start in September.
